Dudley Local Plan Part One

Appendix 6 – Monitoring Indicators

We will monitor the implementation of the Local Plan policies to ensure that the objectives and targets within the Plan are met.

The table sets out the Council’s key monitoring indicators which will be used to monitor how successful the policies are towards meeting the objectives of the plan. If the trigger points are reached the Council will carry out a review to assess whether the policy is working as expected. This may mean that:

  • The policy itself is not proving effective and requires a review;
  • The policy is not being implemented as expected and this implementation needs to be reviewed; or
  • There are good reasons why the policy is not achieving the expected result for the period in question, and the policy, nor its implementation needs amending.

All indicators will be reviewed annually through the Authority Monitoring Report (AMR).
