I do not approve of 24 houses being built on land on holloway Street as in know
how much wild life I see when walking to and from work plus I live at the bottom in Thornleigh and we
have a problem now with water in bad weather we get flooded more houses would put more pressure
on the drainage system plus I thought we were supposed to thinking of the environment and global
warming houses being built and no green spaces does not help the cause

Re: Potential housing development off Holloway Street West, Gornal (site ref:408) I wish to
make an objection to this potential housing development to prevent further damage to the already existing road
system leading to said development. While Holloway Street itself is a normal sized road, Vale Street, Hill Street & Hermit Street all suffer from being narrow, poorly maintained & heavily used for parking. Ruiton Street is narrow and poorly maintained and the estate encompassing Stickley Lane is also narrow, poorly maintained and suffers with parking issues. Another new development will just make things worse, unless surrounding roads/parking can be
improved.

Our first main concern is the impact to the trees at the back of our wall that provide our garden with the
much needed shade and also the amazing wildlife that we have with birds and bats.
I feel that we should be given more time to take this in, and consider how any changes could impact our
home.

Hi Marco I’m increasingly concerned about the increase of housing being considered in Gornal, and strongly object to the proposed development off Holloway St West (site ref 408). The number of houses approved on the developments in Stallings Lane is astonishing but there’s nothing that can be done now they’re under construction! Further development in the area needs to cease for the following reasons; - no proposed additional schools, hospitals or doctor’s surgeries to cope with the number of people moving into the area - the roads are inadequate to cope with the additional traffic these new properties will bring. Holloway St is already a race track - we need green spaces for children to play and to walk our dogs. This area is well used for recreation and this needs to continue for the health and well being of the people already living there.
