Part Two: Centres and Site Allocations (Regulation 18)

Representation ID: 187

Received: 21/12/2023

Respondent: Miss Judith Davies

Representation Summary:

I think the housing allocation on the ex sewage farm, which seems to extend across the River Stour is too much and throws away the opportunity to really carry out the Council's claims to leave wildlife corridors. This housing threatens to break in half the best wildlife corridor in the area. It would have been better to designate the banks of the Stour on both sides as nature conservation areas. Also the road, Caledonia is narrow and dangerous already. The roundabout at the bottom onto Thorns Road has poor visibility and lots of fast traffic and the turn from Caledonia into Woods Lane is on a blind bend and very dangerous. Having lots more traffic on what is already a 'rat run' is a very bad idea.
