This site consists of BHAAP Blocks BR13D, BR13E & CW1
• BR13D & BR13E is the former Van Leeuwen Factory which was recently sold, converted into Sub-units and
Advertised to let. CW1 is the Link 51 Factory and grounds an is still in operation.
Converting these sites to Housing would make sense because there is Housing (the Chapel Street Estate) and a Primary School on the opposite side of Mill Street and beyond the Boulevard Junction there is long established existing housing and an RC Primary School. A continuous Housing corridor would thereby be established to and from the High Street area -- but with primarily proper Family Homes rather then Flats.
However, this could only be achieved if those sites were to become available. Businesses, and therefore jobs, must be protected and retained in and around Brierley Hill.
