This site (DLP D H6 Tipton Road- land adjacent to Black Country Museum) is allocated for housing under policy and DLP10. The development of the site for housing is problematic, partly because of traffic issues around the Tipton Road/A4123 junction.

The site is adjacent to the BCLM and has potential for future uses that would add to the visitor attractions and improve the setting of the museum. Housing would close off the possibility of developments that would enhance the role of Dudley as a visitor destination.
